Fibers from biogas digestate and sludge are both suitable for treatment in a Biocycler. Many of the contaminants associated with sludge are degraded during the heating phase in composting. By treating the fibers or sludge in Biocyclers heat is produced and can be used e.g. for heating the digester in the biogas plant or for enhancing wastewater treatment at wastewater treatment facilities. Water and nitrogen (the latter in the form of  +3% N in aqueous solution) is separated from the fiber or sludge in a Biocycler and the output compost is odor-free, easily transportable, relatively dry and free of possible pathogens. The Biocycler process thus upgrades the quality of the fiber or sludge as soil improvers, and the liquid nitrogen fertilizer is a ready for use clean product.

ComFerm is looking for partners who would like to explore the function of Biocyclers in relation to biogas production or wastewater sludge. This regarding the quality of the input to the Biocyclers and in regard of the adaptation of the biocycling technology into the biogas/wastewater treatment technical set-up.

If partnering up with Comferm sounds interesting, please do not hesitate to call Pia Strunge Folkmann: +45 6154 8666
